Hi,
I am running windows XP and have a 500GB ext HD connected via USB 2.0 to the PC. All was fine until last week when I done a clean install of XP. Now my USB transfer rates to/from the ext HD are extremely slow. I have updated my motherboard with the latest bios and drivers but still the problem still persists.
One thing I have noticed which did not happen prior to the slow USB trasfer rates is that when I connect a USB device to my computer a message is diplayed saying "The device can perform faster if you connect it to a hi-speed USB 2.0 port".
Any help or advise on the matter would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
