I had an OCZ Vertex 2 60Gb SSD in my last PC, running Windows 7 and everything else my current PC is running. Boot times were mega fast, and programs like IE9 & explorer opened literally instantly.
My new PC has a Vertex 3 120Gb SSD in it, and benchmarks like ATTO confirm it is running about twice as fast as the Vertex 2 (it achieves the rated speeds.)
However my boot times are significantly slower now, as well as opening programs like IE9 or explorer where there is a tiny pause (hardly noticable, but it wasn't there before!)
This is with a clean install of Windows with all the drivers up to date. What could be causing this?
