If your hard disks transfer rate was dipping as low as this would you be concerned ?

The pc since it was build has never been the quickest to load up to windows, never bothered to run a benchie until now seems I probably should have.

Not really sure what could be causing this exactly, could be a fault on the hard disk, could be the motherboard, could just be its not a very fast hard disk.

Anyone have any advice ?

Your Picture is very blurry when I make it 150% (basically hard to see).

Advise you run HD-Tach 3.0 (if Vista you need set it to XP-SP2 Mode).

That Average of 54MB/Sec is slower than a 4-5 year old SATA150 HDD (Maxtor Diamondmax 9's/10's) nevermind 2x Modern SATA300 HDD's in Raid0.

I ain't FAM with your HDD but it should get at least 70MB/Sec for Non Raid.

Looks like something is accessing your HDD quite a bit. Some sort of virus scanner scanning away perhaps?

Try using 'TuneXP' to speed up boot times. It's an option under one of the tabs to speed up the boot time, by rearranging startup files :)
