Yes my Mazda (well the wife's car now) has been hit in a car park for the third time. Despite only owning the car since August it has recorded it's third knock. Anyway luckily I was returning to the car and the lady who had hit it had stopped to leave her details. Also there was a witness who happens to know my wife who saw the whole thing. Damage wise she has pretty much lunched my bumper so it's going to be an insurance job. My wife is fully comp but obviously it would be better not to involve her insurance.

I was thinking of calling Helphire what do you think?

How is your wife parking it for it to be hit three times? That sounds quite a lot.

It was me diving it this time. It was parked in a multi storey in a disabled bay. Unfortunately behind the disabled bays are the parent and child bays which tend to attract the enormous SUV's. Thats what hit it.

Are you disabled?

My car's been hit 3 times in carparks, and each time I was sitting in it!

I reckon this car must be cursed. I've had company cars for 20 years, and have only been hit in carparks 4 times, so 3 times in one year is more than just unlucky.

Some people shouldn't be on the road. I watched this old duffer reverse his old merc into someones car twice and he just drove off. The owner was loading the boot as he did this and she shouted at him but he didn't even look to see if it had done any damage.

Insurance madness!!

I have dug this thread up as I think I have finally sorted it out with the insurance company. Initially the person who hit the car admitted full liability then about two days later claimed they hadn't damaged my car! The person had privately got their's repaired so claimed they could not possibly have done any damaged. Bad luck for them was my wifes family are in the motor trade and were tipped off by the bodyshop it was in for repair. They took pictures etc so now they have retracted their no damge claim.

Anyway the estimate is through for a new bumper and a tiny ding in the tailgate and it is over £1000!!! Yes for a bumper, metallic paint and labour. The tailgate doesn't even need painting. I really don't know how they justify these prices.

I had a mate who dropped his bike. He took it to the garage to get it repaired and the guy quoted him £3000, my mate said "this isn't an insurance job, I'm paying for it myself" and the guy in the garage goes "Oh! £300 then"

I'd like to see such garage owners jailed for fraud and then maybe they wouldn't rip off insurance companies - which means ripping you and me off ultimately.
