Small Amplifier

I'm building myself a coffee table that I can slide my pc into, I want no fit 2 10cm car speakers into the top but I need to find a small amplifier to power them!!! :confused:

Any ideas or suggestions would be of a great help.

could get some cheapo PC speakers instead. strip them down.

why do you want to use car speakers?

Seriously the sound quality would be nowhere near as good a speakers in proper housings, and anything you put on the table will change the sound slightly/vibrate.

Why not try building the amp yourself, here for example (think you would need 2 for stereo).
Or you can get some from certain component suppliers (google small audio amplifier and you'll find what I mean), only cost about £15.

well it would be something different.

but I fully agree on the enclosure front. it is not a nicety it is necessity.

I've been thinking of doing much the same myself! I'd love to see some pictures when done!

I know exactly where you can get small amps for the job, however I will be breaking the rules giving the name here, becuase they are also a competitor to OCUK.

Why dont u look at car amps ? there really small, your connecting car speakers and im sure it wouldnt be to much hassle to connect a pc upto.

Sonic Impact T amp. It's meant to be excellent in terms of sound quality and is very small to boot.
