Morning ocuk. My brothers computer got delivered today and altho im fairly comfortable with the building of it i remember someone posted a fantastic link from the corsair website with a step by step walkthrough on how to do everything.

Im searching for it myself but not a lot of luck atm, if someone has it bookmarked could you post it for me?

Thanks a lot :)

Thanks for that. Ive got it all built now. There is however one small problem:

Ive had to use an IDE hard disk because he didnt have a SATA one on the Abit IP35-E mobo. All works fine however windows setup only sees 131 GB of space instead of the 250 it should be (ive checked the label, it is 250). So i thought id try and instal anyway and maybe windows would correct it when it installs. It didnt and the instal blue screened hinting that it was the hard disk configuration.

Ive got the boot prio as 1) cd 2) hd
the master is HD and slave is CD.

So any ideas? Im spent :/
Thanks chaps

Service Pack 2 (I think it is) is needed to see all of the hard drive, the best option is probably slipstream it onto a a Windows CD you create using something like nLite and then reinstall.

Thanks for that, doing it on my machine now.

There is another problem now ;) Basically after running the initial windows setup (the basic blue backround one off the CD) it all completes fine however after its reboot it goes straight back to redo it rather just loading windows and continuing the previous installation.

Any ideas? :)

Thanks a lot

You should be able to sort that by either removing the CD or changing the boot order, either or will work but due to the fact you are booting from the CD first it then assumes since there is a bootable CD in that you wish to install the OS again. :)

Im pretty sure ive done that, im off out to pick up a non totally scratched cd. Ill try it again when i get back, thanks a lot for your help.

No doubt ill be back later :)

Got it working! still not seeing the full HDD size but im updating windows atm so hopefully that will fix it :)

Thanks a lot for your help semi-pro!
