If a case has audio jacks at the front and back for headphones and a microphone, if I were to use both at the same time, what would happen?
I assume one would take priority over the other?

The reason I ask is because I'm planning on buying a case with audio jacks at the front as well as at the back, and I'd like to be able to keep the speaker system (5.1) I have plugged in permanently, while using the front two for my mic and headphones when I occasionally use them. Right now I have to unplug them as my headset is the headphone and microphone. But is this how it works?

Was just curious, thanks for any replies.

Well with my god awful case - the front audio takes priority , badly if the speakers are on its sounds really bad.

you can leave them plugged in just not on

i would presume it would work ok as long its set up right, i have my headfones on the front audio my mic coming from usb cam and my speakers plugged into optical on rear.
although this works i do have to change settings in sound to change between headfone and speakers.
