Small Solid State or 150 veloci raptor?

hi guys, question is as title,

is there any point going for a solid state or are there problems / not worth it per GB?, i dont have an overly large amount to spend but could probably stretch to a 60~gb model

i would stick with a VR, as their cheaper compaired to SSD, and more capacity. if SSD's were cheaper then i'd go with them but as cost is still fairly high compaired to standard HDD's i'd stick with the VR
