Basically long story short bought a load of bits to build my daughter a new PC got some cracking deals on stuff but in my haste didn't look properly at the specs of some of the parts and bought an ATX MB. I can't return them so would have to sell second hand so i'm looking for the smallest case I can get that will take a ATX MB. It si only going to house an FM2 board and cpu and a very low powered gpu so cooling doesn't have to be top notch.

So far this looks to be best choice.

Any other suggestions?

Bit excessive in terms of cost don't you think?

Herp derp - ignore, that is mATX!

What about the new Corsair budget cases?

My son has a similar problem. My old pc in a large ugly cheap case, I plan to buy him the £37 Corsair and add some light and more LED fans.

Corsair Air 540 - overkill for such a system but it is small :)

Corsair Carbide Spec-01 - very cheap and comes with all you'd expect from a case

Antec VSK-4000E - extremely cheap, however this is nothing more than some steel put together. It is small and it fits an ATX motherboard.

I gave those examples based on volume (apart from the 540, which is wide but has a lower height).
I multiplied the case width, height and depth to get a number, and listed as examples the cases with the smallest volume I could find. The title Dazza put is "Smallest ATX case".
The 450D is definitely not the smallest ATX case...

I think the lian li is the closest to what i want, and price is not much more than the prodigy case i was going to get any way. Thanks for all the suggestions but what i'm really looking for is something not far off matx dimensions but can still fit an ATX motherboard, which other than spending stupid amounts is just not really do able i think i may have to take a trip to my local store to check put some cases in the flesh.

Surprised not more people do this when recommending cases based on size! Below is a list of cases mentioned so far in this thread in order of size:

63.1 litres - Corsair Carbide Air 540
51.6 litres - Corsair Obsidian 450D
44.9 litres - Corsair Carbide 200R
44.2 litres - Enermax Ostrog
41.2 litres - Corsair Carbide SPEC-01
40.4 litres - Lian Li PC-A05
37.7 litres - BitFenix Outlaw
37.3 litres - BitFenix Comrade
33.5 litres - Antec VSK-4000E
32.1 litres - Lian Li PC-A55B
25.6 litres - Cooler Master Elite 361

Found 2 more:

Bitfenix Comrade

Bitfenix Outlaw

Also, Enermax has a pink version of the Ostrog, if your daughter is into that :) The case is not that big either.

I had that ostrog case for a while (though in white) and it was pretty good. here it is next to my H440 for scale
