Hello all.

I've been using an ASUS ROG Strix Helios Midi-Tower for 6 years and I'm sick of how heavy and big it is and it's a monstrosity, I don't know why I bought it tbh. So I've decided to buy a new case. Can anyone recommend me the smallest and lightest case possible which can accommodate an ASUS ASTRAL 5080? Is this case any good....

ASUS PROART PA401 WOOD TG PWM BLACK

PS: I don't care about cost.

What size motherboard have you got as that will dictate how 'small' you can go

The Asus ProArt PA401 case has a specifications tab, it shows you the maximum GPU which the case can accomodate is 315mm length.

If you take a measuring tape to the Astral 5080 GPU and measure it's length, you will see it measures 358mm in length.

Last I looked 358mm into 315mm is -43mm. Quite a shortfall.

As Glanza said, what size your motherboard is also has an impact, your old case can accomodate E-ATX motherboards, so we have no idea what size of motherboard you have therefor cannot recommend cases.

If going M-ATX, the Lian Li A3 is pretty decent. Using the MSI B850 Mortar and 3 NVMEs, great board. Also first a lot PCI-E, allowed fans under the GPU. Went with slim Thermalrights, but regular 25mm would fit with the Sapphire 9070XT Nitro+. Going SFX/SFX-L makes a breeze, but ATX PSU is doable with more planing. Cheap case, to be fair.
