Smart work trousers

Please could someone recommend somewhere to buy a pair of work trousers that aren't going to disintegrate after 6 weeks of wearing

mad: @ M&S). Doesn't have to be fashionable, quite willing to pay for something that's going to last, not after a suit - just some trousers. Oh yeah, be good if you didn't have to be stick thin to fit in them as well

I picked up three pairs of combats (black, khaki and green) from the market for £20, they're still going strong nearly three years on.

When you say work trousers, what work will you be doing in them??

Contrary to you, I've found the cheap M&S polyester trousers to be pretty good.

It'd be useful to know what 'work' trousers means to you scorza because combats aren't going to cut it in the majority of working environment but nor are office-type trousers in other environments.

I would recommend Dockers but they are extortionately priced here in the UK.

I work in an office environment, and whilst everyone else wears the typical suit and tie get-up I prefer to wear combats and a t-shirt/sweatshirt. They're far more comfy than a suit.

Ok sure but that would not be a typical office environment, hence the request for what the norm at scorza's workplace would be was requested.

Why is it that male porn stars always wear really baggy smart trousers? Like 4 sizes too big but pinched with a belt. I don't get it. I thought they'd want them tight to show off the trout.

I don't. If I was so inclined I'd be disappointed by the pleats.

So yeah, Dockers are pretty good. I find D2 to be a good fit.

This, from personal experience I've found the M&S polyester ones last much longer than their more expensive wool ones. They look pretty much the same as well and I can't really tell the difference when wearing them (I have a pair of each).

I work as a doorman, and have struggled to find the best trousers too... I'm assuming my requirement for robustness is different to yours but if you're looking for something smart casual then look no further than these...
