Since installing the new ATI drivers i am getting a smartgart splash pop up everytime i boot. And it takes ages to go. Is there any way to get rid but not remove the ccc? I need ccc for dual monitors. What is it for anyhow? From what i can see its for AGP but i have a pci-e gfx card...

would help if you told us the whole of your rig..........

I was under the impression smartgart was agp only also but I could be wrong - also there were some cards around that were basically agp cards with pci-e tacked onto them which maybe why this was installed ( and running as it shouldnt run if its not required)

There should be a checkbox somewhere in CCC that says "dont display splash screen on startup" or something like that

you could have course use multimon instead of CCC, but that you have to pay for and then you would only have to install the basic ATI drivers themselves(without CCC)
