As above really, going to be over £100 quid for a screen replacement so is it worth it for a 2 year old phone or are there some decent replacements about?
When something like this happens I normally always use it as a good reason or time to upgrade my mobile phone if I have the spare funds available at the time..
Phone insurance through bank? It's £25 to have a screen repaired through my bank.
If you're confident doing it yourself you can get a screen for about £30 from aliexpress. The OP3/T gets Android Pie soon so I'd probably keep it if you can repair it on the cheap. I don't think I'd pay £100 though.
Are you sure the screen is broken and not just the glass?
so annoying, can't access anything via usb but can hear the phone getting notifications!
Ordered a replacement screen to do myself, that pocophone looks interesting right enough!
Do you have an OTG adapter? You could plug in a usb mouse and navigate to the settings blindly after finding where to click by watching a youtube video (or even better having a similar phone by your side).
If you have USB debugging on you can still see your screen using scrcpy.. I have a phone with a broken screen but still use it for a baby monitor as I only use the phones camera and the rest of the phone works perfectly. But it need debugging on.
yeah, tried a few things with it to get the screen mirrored, but no luck! Also have a smartwatch but I'd disabled the bluetooth before I dropped it!
(didn't have usb debuggin enabled)
annoyingly the way the screen smashed has damaged the cable for the buttons behind it - so had to order another bit.... been quite nice not having a phone
