Smashing night out! But need advice!

It was £200 all in all.
That was for the cleaning of all the glass, buying the new and fitting the new glass
 
Press charges, he probably won't pay for it and go completely unpunished for it and do something similar again. Personally I think he should be taught a lesson in another way but thats another story.
 
So he rang today, and agreed to pay all the money.
He apologised again for the window and also said sorry for me probably having a cold drive the next day. He did however try and say 'you shouldn't have shouted at my mate', I just replied the same as last time that you shouldn't walk infront of a moving car like that.

He asked for my bank details, so I emailed those over and let's see what happens next.

I scared the crap of him by saying I doubt *his company* would appreciate
him having a criminal record.

Same, doesn't sound like he's remotely remorseful or sorry, in fact it sounds like he probably still feels he was justified and is just buying his way out of trouble.

I'd try and get him stitched up for being like that, sod the £200 if it comes to it.
 
Your an Idiot for not pressing charges.

He will get a few hundred quid fine plus costs but he will never do something like this again.

But in all seriousness on the Wednesday when it happened, he said he'd pay for it if I didn't press charges. I agreed so I'm not going to go back on what I said just because the guys a complete ****

So he figured you for a right chump, and was correct then? As if you had pressed charges he would have then refused to pay it.... and that scared you? If your not going to stand and bang the least you can do is risk a small amount of money to call his BS, or do you not mind people walking all over you?

I don't see how I'm chump for coming to an amicable agreement with the guy.

Yea your right, he just royally parred you, smashed your window, then told you his terms and conditions for how he would fix it whilst lecturing you about your behaviour, that's not being walked all over now is it.
 
He smashed your window, says 'please dont charge me' and offers to buy his way out of trouble (and only because the police happened to be there), you agree to this and then even when he has the cheek to try and tell you that you were in the wrong for shouting at his mate you're still letting him off.

He's made a mug of you.

I'd be wholly unsurprised to see you buy the bloke a bottle of wine to say thanks for being such a stand up guy and paying for the window.

No his full terms and conditions were: That he pays a £100 to the cost of the replacement as it shouldn't cost more than that. That didn't happen he's paying the full amount
Lecturing about my behaviour: Stupid people are allowed an opinion, I just let him talk his gibberish. It barely registered in my concious

Oh that's OK then, he's paying for the cost of the window, never mind all the hassle and the blatant parring you have received. :rolleyes:
