Now, there is one thing I've noticed this year, possibly some of last.

Almost every day, if not every day, I watch a program that uses at least one or two of the songs from the Snatch soundtrack in a show, sometimes even more than that.

And I'm not exaggerating at all here, I've heard about three tracks so far today used in two programs already.

Has anyone else noticed this?

The movie is 7 years old, why is the Soundtrack getting so much usage on TV now of all years.

It just strikes me as extremely odd that it's getting so overused.

I kind of understand what you mean, infact I have said to other people at times 'That song is from Snatch'

In top gear, every week they have a song from the splinter cell chaos theory soundtrack as well it seems.

Amon Tobin. The guys who decide what tracks to use on TG are clearly big fans of everything Ninja Tune. Heard The Herbaliser, Bonobo and many more on it.

Whoever did the sound for The Apprentice last year chose some really great pieces too. Lots of the Amelie soundtrack.

:D Brilliant, a title with the words 'Snatch' and 'wet dream'.

The soundtrack is good, in comparison I think the ST from My Name Is Earl is being used by a lot of other shows.

What particular ones. I would have thought mostly all of the soundtrack to snatch was created many moons before the films itself.

It's the fact that they're being used so many times a day in different programs and 95% more than one or two tracks in the same program, which makes it pretty obvious they're being taken from the soundtrack

I think the only one I haven't heard being used is Hava Nagila

 None of the tracks on the Snatch album were made specially for that film I would have thought?

They weren't made for the soundtrack but it's obvious their inspiration for using all of them blatantly is from the soundtrack, even the arrangements match the soundtrack sometimes.

Clint Mansell's Requiem theme gets used EVERYWHERE.

It was used in the LOTR trailers...and one which I saw on Friday before 300...Can't remember what film though...

I remember DJ Shadow popping up on loads of BBC trailers for nature programmes and stuff a few years ago. Got all excited every time one came on, much to the confusion of anyone that was watching with me.
