Sneak em up games

Hitman 2 the first level you do is pretty good as you need to be stealthy to get into a mansion and kill a mafia leader.
 
The original Deus Ex, is old dated and cheap as chips, its also a superstealth game if you choose it to be, you can use non-lethal takedown for all bar one of the encounters within the game. There are also updated gfx and texture packs on the net to bring the look fo the game forward to modern standards.

Best storyline ever ;)

I played Hitman 2 fairly recently and found you can go in guns blazing on that mission once you get as far as the mansion doors.
 
batman aa is an awsome stealth type game, first 2 splinter cell games are awsome too and double agent is decent but only if you play that on a console

I've played #2 most out of the hitman games, and it *is* possible to play it entirely, stealthily but it's a lot harder than to just gun everyone down. I did start out trying to get the "Silent Assassin" award in each level (you get bonus weapons as prizes) but some were just too hard :(.

The second was my favourite and I can't say there was a single level in the game that I hated. Absolutely brilliant with a great soundtrack.

And I did exactly the same as you! Tried to get Silent Assassin on every level but some were just TOO hard. :(

Also in your tool shed there looked like there was a place to hang up the rosary beads but you never get them as a useable weapon. Really odd.
 
The mafia mansion is one of the best, there are a few different ways to go about it, but yeah it is too tempting (and satisfying) to just headshot everyone with the silenced pistol! I usually play through each level a couple of times cos they're pretty quick to do guns-blazing. When I do it properly I make sure I just take the silenced pistol, wire, and chloroform. Ones like the snow fortress are insanely hard though.

If you compare the first splinter cell graphics with later on versions, you will see a big difference in detail. The first one, for its time, was great looking, the shadows were done like never before. Double agent was the last in the series if i remember correctly, graphics wise it is superior to all its predecessors but in terms of gameplay, for me, chaos theory was by far the best.
 
Far Cry 2 should have been one, but it's stupid

If a gnat farted the enemies in that game would shoot it

Yep. Easily the best of the series, and still the best stealth action game since its release. Cant even see the upcoming sequel touching it either, what with Ubisofts current ongoing quest to dumb down just about every one of their franchises.
