Quite enjoying this game, a lot more than ghost warrior or whatever that terrible game was called :p

Running great on my rig in sig with texture set to high, draw distance to ultra, low AA, 8 AF, ambient and motion blur off and shadows to medium and looks pretty nice, the lighting and shadows are pretty good.

The game reminds me a lot of splinter cell conviction, which I enjoyed as well.

But unfortunately the game still suffers from the same problem as ghost warrior but no where as bad, the enemy can spot you miles off without any trouble, as soon as you fire (with no cover sound) they turn and start firing at your position straight away with near enough pin point accuracy.......almost as if they have an aimbot!!! :p How they can do this when it is dark, miles away in a building that has a ton of windows every where and this is on normal mode..........

In co-op we cant get our progress past the flak tower saved. We've done the level twice, started the next one then quit and both times only been able to select the flak tower to play again. The second time we did a fair bit of the next mission, got to at least one checkpoint in it.

Anyone know of a console command to select the next level or another way around it?

The game save system is blimmin annoying, I have been chucked back to a previous level a couple of times now. On single play too.
Almost gave up with the whole thing last time I was so ****ed.

Almost finished this now.. its definitely ok as a cheap shooter, but disappointed at the lack of stealth options, and I end up running and gunning most of the time which is hardly the point. I preferred the first one TBH.
The voice "acting"/comments by enemy soldiers are absolutely horrendous lol

im liking this,

im stuck on the V2 rocket mission, somereason it just flys off without any warning of asking me to do anything.

But other than that the reason this game is not pulling people enough is, its to easy. even on custom with hardest options.

sniper ellite orignal was loit harder than this...

I agree its to easy and you can just rambo it but it seems impossible to stealth some missions as the snipers just spot you from miles out even behind pieces of cover sometimes :/

on the rocket on the side once you prompted there is a red button you shoot ;)

you have to kill the wave of soldiers first though

Had a reply from support;
Thanks for reporting this- several other people have seen similar issues and our development team think they've found a solution. We're planning to put out a patch this week that should fix it.

the AI would be ducking for cover and remaining out of sight in real life, because a sniper is someone that sends you to cover instantly, you then see if you can spot him whilst remaining hidden... you then try and outflank him around the sides, whilst drawing his fire dead ahead with decoys, they knew that back in WW2 as well.

you dont mess around with a sniper with sights, he'll kill you instantly with his first shot....keep your head down

finally, Sniper elite has far too much fall of shot and wind direction etc, at these close ranges you need only point and shoot, the 1st game was very poor for this.
