Bought this today as it's shamefully been out of my CD collection for about five years.

It's like the summer of '93 all over again, bwoyyyyy! :D

I thought this was going to be a thread about his xxx video :D

No collection is complete without that CD....shame on you for not replacing it sooner. Must have been good to turn it up after so long :)

I got that when it came out back in the day.
Listened to it constantly for about 6 months.

What do you wanna do when you grow up Snoop?
I wanna be a .................................

Pft. Listen to some real hip hop :p

Lets see...

Antipop Consortium
The Pharcyde
Anticon
Beans
Saul Williams
Gold Chains
New Flesh

...What exactly is 'real hiphop' then?

PS: I also love R&G...Can't fault his new stuff at all!

I haven't heard much Snoop, but the only song I actually liked was the Still DRE one. Drop It Like Its hot (not sure if that's the name of the song) sucks.

If we're being pedantic, then Snoop falls under the Gangsta Rap heading, not Hip Hop.

If we're being pedantic, Snoop falls under the G-Funk heading, not Gangsta Rap...

;)

Gangsta Rap = cube, tha lench mobb et cetera...

I don't hold a great deal of hope that someone who described Slipknot as nu-metal can give a description of 'real hip hop' that won't make me defecate from laughing so hard...

Mate, was clearly kidding.

On that note, listen to Sage Francis.

Not sure I agree with that to be honest, matter of opinion though I s'pose.

Doggystyle certainly does; produced by Dre and Knight, namechecks Warren G, has G-funk-style music...And talks about sex. A lot.

snoop is most definately g-funk. It's true his later stuff is very poor IMO. R&G isnt bad, but nothing compares to the doggystyle album. Tha doggfather and Tha Last meal should definately be in your collection as well:) Tha Last meal being the best of his 'later' albums IMO
