Rented property, Open Reach installed. So, just required to purchase a contract with eg BT and then plu that into the Open Reach connection. So, led to belive that from this point on everything I do can be viewed via a landlord if they do wish. So every minute I'm online, they can view, what sites browse including financial ones, holidays, youtube programmes,Netflix, basically if you are renting your online privacy is gone. Correct? This does not seem legal, invasion of privacy, I'm paying for own contract either eg BT. Using a VPN is of no use. Only option is using own contract, different one, fir mobile phone if want to carry out likes of online banking etc thoughts welcome. Really surprised though lack of privacy.

Why are you led to believe your landlord can access your internet activity? You're not using their connection or hardware considering you specifically mentioned that you're the one purchasing a contract. Why would it being Opeanreach who have connected the property to the network have any influence on the landlord being able to see your internet activity? Openreach connect most households to the network.

What?

As soon as you do this, your landlord can hear through your PC's microphone and see through your webcam. The only way around this is to buy your own Starlink connection and put it on the balcony.

Anyone read the OP’s other two posts? Averages one every three years. I’m calling this as alt-troll account. Maybes it’s dlockers?

Wtd even happened to his account? I see his posts still about with a big D for his avatar but you can't view his profile. Feels like he's GDPRd it but it's only a half job

This has to be a wind up.

calling parents landlords now are we ?

On a serious note OP this has been a known issue for a long time now and the only real solution is to place a faraday day cage over the house.
