Snow Patrol music on BBC Sports Personality

For once I am truly stumped about where this thread should be posted. Music because I'm looking for a song name or Sports because it relates to the BBC Sports Personality show. :confused:

So mods feel free to move it if you think the Sports forum is a more appropriate residence for this 'ere thread.

Anyway last night the BBC Sports Personality show did a feature on Darren Clarke there was a Snow Patrol song playing. Does anyone know what that song was? I think it came off their Final Straw album but I've no idea which one it was.

Anyone any ideas?

I swear I heard an Embrace song at one point, but I didn't hear the Snow Patrol one.

It was for the Darren Clarke section, I could swear it was Snow Patrol song. I recognised the lyrics. I just can't remember which song. I've even got the album I reckon its off, I just can't work out which one it was.

Do they? Any idea why? It seems like quite a depressing/moving song. Surely the Beeb would want uplifting and encouraging songs?

The chorus and solo are pretty uplifting...

Then, I remember them using Therapy?, Infernal Love for the Formula One once. And that Coast program used a bit of Metallica. Evidently the music guy has a rebellious streak... At least they've stopped using the Arcade Fire for every trailer they make. I like them, but there's only so many times you can hear the intro to Wake Up before you go strange.
