Cheers guys,

The snow down here was 3 inches thick and lasted for 3 days. As you can tell from the first one, even managed to got sledging, something I've not done in 20 years ;) !

I love the soft edges on the last two, could you explain how you got them please? :)

The best way to get that effect is to duplicate the layer in Photoshop, blur it (experiment with the settings) set the layer as overlay (i think, its been a while) then adjust the opacity levels.

Four and five are great. I think 3 could look good too if you could get rid of the blue tinted snow :)

Yeh I need to have a better play with that one. It's a HDR from a RAW file and level fiddled but the process has put a blue cast on the snow.

Thanks for the compliments on 4 & 5.

The donkey shot was funny as it was taken with my 10-20 mm lense so I had to get pretty close to the little critter to get the angle. He kept trying to eat my camera ! :p

It's basically like that but I use a PS Filter to apply effects like that in one fell swoop (as I'm lazy ;) )

Hope you dont mind, but i felt this had more potential with some colour balance, and a bit of contrast adjustment.

Possibly even apply that filter to get a better match to the final 2!

No don't mind at all, thanks for the advice. I'll try that when I get home :)
