Parental filters will filter a lot of such sites, and kids are more likely to look here.

I don't see it as any different from booze, but some people might.

it's the mods' call, I don't really care; I am just voicing the other side of the coin as I see it.

React badly due to reasoned knowledge on the physiological harms of the substances or react badly because of prejudiced and uninformed opinions?

unfortunately this is exactly what i DIDN'T want; a debate on the finer points of either.

In previous experience it's obvious that people, as a whole, simply aren't going to agree with one another on the subject so instead of discussing the hows and whys i was simply interested in discussing effects and experiences. Hippy-ish and "gay" it may be but, unlike the how's and whys, futile it isn't.

The lack of a mods showing in this thread is by no means a lack of attention either, i'm sure.

The reason why legal things have different social acceptability is because:

a) Historic use. Alcohol and tobacco have been mainstream products for hundreds of years.
b) Taxability. To the above historic nature, both have established themselves within the economy. Other legal things have not, and as such are made out to be worse.

It's all a load of crap, but hey-ho, it's the way the world works.
 
just like other now things that where once legal theyl get made illegal as soon as they become popular enough to make theyre way into the higher classes.

the moment some lord of somewhere or MP catches his kid tripping on salvia its had it

The planet, based 93 million miles from the Sun, said it was 'sick and tired' of being drawn into arguments about human behaviour.

"Look, I'm just a planet doing its thing, alright? If you want to live on me, that's your business, but I've got important planet stuff to do, okay?

"Try being in elliptical orbit for five minutes, or balancing your gravitational pull with a medium-sized moon. Let me assure you, it's no picnic."

The planet said environmental campaigners should change their slogan from 'Save the Planet' to something more relevant such as 'Save Your Sorry Arse'.

Earth added: "Okay, so there may come a time when, for a variety of reasons, I am no longer able to support pandas, polar bears, and humans, but you know what? Life goes on.

"Who knows, I might end up being a haven for toads."
 
Just tried some snuff for the first time. It's quite nice! I very very nearly sneezed, but didn't, and it made my eyes water, but it's quite pleasant :)

My favourite product has to be a quality Shisha (Ride2 anyone? :D)- lovely pleasant relaxing activity, very social too passing around the pipe and a great focal point between groups socialising :)

None of the horrible smell/breath of other smoking products, lovely flavours and varieties available (apple, menthol, tropical, spearmint, strawberry etc etc etc) and just generally an enjoyable relaxing activity.

No ill-effects either i.e. memory-warp, hangovers, headaches, bigpink elephants :p
