3DMark adds new SSD benchmark for gamers (ul.com)

3DMark added a Storage benchmark so I have submitted results of my ssd drives. The final result don't mean a whole lot apart from bigger is better. Id like to see a breakdown of the 7 individual tests in a future update making result comparisons more interesting between drives.

The overall test is long and can take 30 mins to complete them all as about 30gb of data is processed.

Test Conditions: AV Disabled, No Caching software, No Rapid Storage, Default windows NVME Driver.

The Samsung 980Pro has received a firmware update thought to improve PS5 compatibility. Since I need to hook the drive to a PC to update it, I updated my Benchmark scores for it.

Samsung 980 Pro 1TB (X570 Gen 4- Full Power Mode)

Previous Firmware 3B2QGXA7
Score = 3314 http://www.3dmark.com/strg/15367

New Firmware 4B2QGXA7
Score = 3258 http://www.3dmark.com/strg/15380

New firmware seems to have reduced performance slightly in both Standard and Full Power modes. This is also reflected in Samsung Magician with a 100 mb/s lower Read Speed. Write speeds are about the same across both firmware versions.

As for the PS5, Old Score = 5560 MB/s , New Score = 6495 MB/s
