So APB is utter rubbish then ..

OMG people in this world actually BUY aimbots? Actually pay real money for them?

Unbelievable. They pay money to ruin their own game AND other people's???

Retards ..

It really is wierd. I'd like to know how many people do it and who they are, they must be freaks.

The pay to cheat against complete strangers anonymously, they'll never know the persons whom they are beating. Do they go away afterwards boasting to themselves(because whom else can they boast to), "Yeah I really killed those guys brilliantly with my aimbot, on that online game, against those complete strangers, I am badarse with my aimbot..... nobody loves me.

Oh dear... could be the beginning of the end...

Realtime Words Layoffs?
A couple of unconfirmed reports of plans for further layoffs at APB developer Realtime Worlds have surfaced, with VG247 reporting that the entire development team of the recently announced Project: MyWorld may have been let go, with Gamesindustry.biz (registration required) saying it "understands that at least two high-profile publishers have turned down the opportunity to partner with Realtime Worlds for the release of Project: MyWorld, and the lay-offs have affected development of the ambitious game." VG247's sources also indicate the Scotland-based developer may be seeking to sell the APB property in its entirety.

I tried one in CoD4 once, it was pretty funny but I felt guilty afterwards...

It's a bloody decent game that has been hampered by bad reviews and press, financial problems, bad sales (all linked) and a large % of the player base using Helios APB cheat which is undetectable because.......Punkbuster isnt even running ;/

Last nights 1.4.1 patch was supposed to address and fix a lot of things that had been called for after 1.3.1. What it has done is given improved vehicle handling, added recoil to guns, super boosted the CQC and NL9 Stabba and created once more a total imbalance.

Now once again it is virtually impossible for a crim to win a mission against an enforcer using the Stabba, add to this that 2 hours after 1.4.1 went live Helios updated their apb hack with a no recoil script:

August 26th, 2010

ArtificialAiming.net has updated the APB Hack to work on the latest APB Patch v1.4.1 (57).
The APB Hack also Removes Weapon Recoil.

Welcome to your standard MMO I guess - just with the added annoyance of aimbots. Didn't realise Helios was still around.

It's not a full on MMO though, it's a hybrid model that still doesnt know what itself is classed as, kinda hard to judge by potential players really.

Anyway ...cant see a way out for RTW - they did well to push this patch out but certain aspects of it would make me suggest that they didnt listen to the community and the PTW testers which is evident by the large number of negative threads since it was live.
