JUST ****ING FORGOT MY BB PASSOWRD AND ITS GONE AND DELETED EVERYTHING, including pics of recently deceased family members. Just lucky I backed them up.

BBM = Gone. ;@ No numbers no nothing. So ****ing ****ed.

For someone who deals with BB's through his work, you do realise that BB does have an app called BB Protect that allows you to remotely wipe your device, lock it and track it should it go missing

...just like the iphone and even the Androids.

And unlucky OP, its a security measure in case your BB goes missing...more fool you if you forgot your password and bigger fool you if you dont set a password go protect your info.

In the future set a password that you can easily remember and secondly make sure u do weekly or daily backups in case you lose your phone or have to wipe it etc etc.

Yes I do know about it, but my post wasn't exactly serious either!

At work though all our wiping is done via my BES server so no need for the app.

Even if you did have BB Protect, it wouldn't have backed up your BBM contacts. That has to be done either via memory card, or via the Desktop Manager software.

I'm using 'Lookout' which is Free (or Premium for more controls) and came with '3G Watchdog'

Scanning for nasties, Locating and Locking/Wiping... you can even get the phone to 'Scream' if its been nicked!!
