From building my pc and a friends, as well as some upgrades, I basically have a few spare parts lying around and figured I may as well whack them together into a HTPC, as well as a media/browsing pc for my dad.

I have a few components already, just need to fill in the gaps really.

Most of my reused parts are from Dell PC's, so obviously CPU overclocking is not viable. Parts are:-

Dell H57 Socket 1156 Mobo
Nvidia GT310 Graphics (Basically a rebranded 220, I think)
400W Dell PSU

So in total, I'm looking for a Socket 1156 CPU, Hard drive, Optical drive and some memory. Ideally I want to stay sub-£200. I do still have the dell standard cpu heatsink which, truth be told, is very quiet when under moderate loads. MUCH better than the Intel one!

Hopefully the motherboard should take the cpu without a BIOS update, if not look at the i3 530.

Much appreciated.
The original CPU in the mobo was an i7 860, so I'd be pretty confident about the i3 working at least. I'm tempted to go for a smaller hard drive for the time being though and possibly look at a bluray drive as opposed to dvd.
I wants to make use of the HDTV :p It's been sat in the folks' living room for 2 years without a single HD source
