So how do England feel about a Home International tourny next summer now?

I was only thinking playing each once in the league, 2 home and away games each. It's a fair point about players getting knackered but it would be near enough the same if they had qualified for the Euros. I say stick it on exactly the same time as the Euro's aswell, will be wall to wall football on the telly! :p

I'd also love to see it back. Much along the lines of the 6 nations. The tournament could be every 2 years so not to coincide with the major finals.

The problem is that if England get involved you have to put up with the hooligan element as well! Again, spoiling what could be a great way to get players up to international standard!

British football has generally suffered since it stopped!

England being in a comp with a new manager would be good. Couldn't give a toss if it was a 'Home nations' (sic) cup .. just as long as the new manager gets thrown though the motions of knock out footie and the players get a taste of it as well .. 4 years is probably a bit too long to wait for that

I don't think the FA would be willing to risk their new manager with a home international tournament so early in his career. I think they'll go for "easy" friendlies to increase confidence in the side with one or two top sides who are preparing for the Euro tournament.

Hooligan element? Surely the biggest problem would be if Ireland and Northern Ireland were playing we'd have all the sectarian **** that both the Irish and Scottish love. Oh, but that's not counted as hooliganism as its a religious thing, and England aren't involved .

To coin a frase...What a load of pish!

I don't get this holier than thou thing with Scottish football fans. Alan Brazil keeps banging on about how great the Celtic fans are, same old. I remember not that long ago Celtic made a visit to Ewood Park in the UEFA cup. There were running battles all day long, the celtic fans trashed the furnhurst pub causing over 20 grand in damage.

Whilst you cannot help but get a few morons who follow teams, please don't pretend you have no problems. Have a look on youtube, there are plenty of examples of Scottish hooligans.

Back on topic, I'm not fussed whether we do or don't. Probably prefer it if we didn't.
