Now the Home button requires extra thumb/nail pressure to do anything.

At first the whole thing froze, even trying to switch off didn't work. :eek:

Although after a minute or two of sweating my ******** off it seemed to be working fully again, except as stated above which has continued.

I guess I'm not alone, so lets share your OMFG gut aching moments when you realised you've just dropped you iPhone.

I dropped it and tried to catch it like in the movies (juggling). Luckily i caught it. I find that the backs of both versions scratch soooo easily its a pain in the ***. Also the screen gets extremely dirty so quick.......maybe its my dirty fingers? :eek: :p

Ive dropped it once.
 
I got my 3G 2 weeks after the things hit the Uk and had a major panic moment when taking it on the bus. Went to the top deck of the bus and as I went to sit down, I took the phone out of my pocket but it slipped out of my cold hands...bounced off my cushioned seat and then crashed to the floor.

Could have had a heart attack there and then! The silver bezel was scratched but the phone worked fine :D
 
Dropped my v1 in a puddle, had to give it a wipe down and let it dry overnight but luckily it worked again.
 
Droped my 2g down the loo!!

At work, was in my top shirt pocket, wiping the toilet seat it decided it wanted to help and went down the loo :(

Bought a 3g replacement that night at £400 notes. 2g is working fine now though lol. Let it dry out in the airing cupboard for 3 nights and its working well.

Haha, I had a near miss similar to that, iPhone decided to jump out of my pocket while lifting the toliet seat, just missed! Another dent in my old faithful.
 
I drop mine on a semi regular basis. Still going strong though, although I have an issue with the volume button - seems to be stuck on volume down and turns down at the slightest touch. Got it going in for warranty repair.
 
My 2g has hit the floor here at work twice, no more than two or three feet and it's always in it's foofpod so no damage. Had the odd near miss with concrete where I've caught it at the last minute.

My other half dropped hers on concrete. Top has a nice dent but it works perfectly.
 
Got mine off my bro in law he dropped it in the first week of having it dented a bit on the back. 2g 8gb iphone. I managed to break the silent button as well just by switching it on & off 0_o
 
Dropped mine on the way to rugby, dropped it on the floor as i was about to get in a car, wasnt happy!

Seems to be fine, just slight cosmetic damage.
 
was talking on it and i tripped sent it flying across the road to the opposite pavement kerb. there was heavy traffic at the time and took me 7 mins to cross the road to get it. the Zagg cover on the back is kinda scratched but actual back is fine. been left to dry for 8 hours now:rolleyes:

7 mins of waving at random cars wanting em to stop. every one of the buggers smilled and waved back

Droped !!

I just trew my iphone on the ground about 4mins ago pretty dam hard am so fed up with it....

The thing has more quirks than a nut house.
