So I forgot am OS..

I've just used cd keys bought online, always worked fine, I tend to go with the more "reputable sites" that are advertised on relatively well thought of YouTube channels (ltt, GN, jayz, Paul's hardware etc have all advertised certain sites at some point) I'd have thought I'd they weren't legit Microsoft would be crawling all over them with lawsuits. Im not sure how they get the licences and are able to sell them so cheaply, but they always work
 
Think I paid less than £10 for a Windows 11 Pro Key - Activated and have had no issues since.

Neither would I buy the DVD - USB Version if I had too.
 
I bought a cheap key a while ago for MS Office and though it worked originally, a few years down the line it will no longer activate. Microsoft came up with some message about it not being genuine - can't remember exactly what it said.

I'm not too fussed, happy to write it off etc. But perhaps they do clamp down on sources occasionally.
