i see the bourne bluray box set for £40, i then see below it each individual bourne movie for £12 each.

logic?

to make it worse, the 3 films are in 2 for £20.

Lol, cause it's cool to have them all boxed up yo!

Does the boxset include any bonus discs, special features, shiny alluring case? Or, was it just the films? If so that's pretty retarded.

hmv is terrible... prices are a joke compared to what you can get on the internet and when you can order a movie at 3pm and expect it to be arriving the next day its no wonder HMV are struggling so much.

it doesnt help that the website is so much cheaper than the instore prices either..

ive got no sympathy for companies caught with their pants down , morrisons is another one behind the times they dont even have a website you can order from online and they dont even do home deliveries...

I've been into a local HMV today looking for documentaries; I tend to use online retailers but thought I'd nip into town and see if there's anything I could pick up there and then. They had a tiny collection of David Attenborough and Bear Grylls DVDs, no proper factual section. Planet Earth was £30, I've just bought it online for £9.07!

I really do wonder how long they can stay in business, the writing has been on the wall for some time. Their entire business model is outdated and ill-equipped to take on modern Internet based retailers.

i wanted to get the The Other Guys on blu hmv had it marked up at £17.99!

a huge site online has it for £14.93

ok not much of a difference but if most people can wait there going to get it online

Hell yeah!

We're overcharged for a lot of things in this country so I'm always happy to see the big stores die if they don't adapt.

my housemate picked up sons of anarchy seasons 1&2 boxset for £20 when it was about £15 for each as single sets

Their DVDs/Blurays are just ridiculous in store, however CDs and books generally aren't bad. I don't understand!

Going into HMV is a bit of novelty these days considering how much cheaper everything is to order online.

Probably visit it once a year (Christmas) and very quickly remember (just like the OP has said), "this place is ****!" :D

Went in the other day looking for Fringe Season 2. Said to myself 'I can get this for £23 online but I quite want to watch it now. If it's only a fiver or so more I'll buy it'. Looked on the shelf £45! Who in their right mind would spend that?

Last time I saw the price of the Blu-Rays, they were £30 each :(

I actually told my grandmother that I'd buy the movie I wanted online, and give her the money back, rather than seeing her waste the extra.
