I just hope you get killer frame rates in Manic Miner

Manic Miner is an AMD DX12 game. Not even 4 1070s can play it.

Sitting upstairs in the computer room I need clarification on quad sli. Is it working for benchmarks or should I just return them before even opening them? All I care about is FS and maybe some Heaven/Valley runs.

4 way SLI for benchmarks does not work with the 368.39 drivers but will be fixed with future driver updates.

I would not be able to look at all those cards and not put them in. What the heck. If you bought them, might as well use them!

As others have said, if they work or not, that's the kind of thing one asks BEFORE buying them

The point is it was NVidia who said that 4 way SLI with the Pascal cards would work with synthetic benchmarks. Unfortunately this was not the case for the launch drivers and I have since been told it would be fixed in future driver updates.

I am surprised at the number of unhelpful replies in this thread as some people do like using 4 cards for benching.

Having said that I do question the logic of buying 4 GTX 1070s for doing the above when GTX 1080s would be more appropriate.

everything out there tells you it doesnt work. I cannot understand the logic in ignoring all that, buying them anyway and then asking on here. It's like you don't want to believe it and just went and blew 1600 quid anyway to watch heaven benchmarks. You must really love that benchmark.

way back when use to render two scenes at a time with 8800s and 295s in SLi.
Heck of a lot cheaper then workstation cards until the Titan came out, then that just became useless :/

wonder what you'd get points wise for Fold@home with that set up

Rendering does not use the SLI mechanism so is not impacted.

If you're using them for compute cards for example DaVinci Resolve colour correcting or adobe etc you can use the cards without them being in SLI...

put your handbag down Kaap Nobody told you what to do with your money HOWEVER we all knew the score with sli support before the cards were released and at the end of the day it doesnt matter if your spending 100 quid or two and a half grand, you still get informed first. But you bought them anyway. So what do you want, a pat on the back? That's not how world works!. I knew the score with 4 way SLI when the cards launched but bought 4 anyway as I will use them as there will be support for synthetic benches.

Unlike most people in this thread I did take the trouble to find from someone who does know the score.
