I was just a little worried, as the side panel (the one without the fan) seems to just be held shut by the screws. It says that it swings open in the book, but it is bending slightly outwards in the middle. It this normal?

It is holding a few cables back (that's what is pushing it out).

If you didn't understand the above - I have to push the fanless side panel to get it closed, and then put screws in to hold it in place. Should it be like this?

Hi

Yes this is normal, i had this same thing on my P180 and P182 cases. If you check you'll have a locking key somewhere with it which when used it will fully lock the front door flat against the front.

I initially thought it was a damaged case but its normal

sounds like you just have a couple cables routed outside of where they should be causing a little bend in the case. if it doesn't bother you who cares? or just reroute the cables. cables are untidy, they barely affect airflow. yes flat ide cables buy the dozen did, a couple sata cables and a power cable don't kill airflow at all so theres no "need" to hide them.

really really wanted the P190, but at its price, completely pointless, and completely unhelpful reviews and customer service. the Review models had the 550W psu without any modular cables only , i forget, either mobo power, or just hard drive/sata connectors and no option to attach others so of the 2nd psu you could only use it realistically for like 100-200w's worth of stuff at a massive push. THey hinted in reviews they thought this might not be final version psu's but if it was its a massive flaw. Can you give us an idea on the psu's within the case? If it was the way it was in reviews, it makes it a basically unuseable 1200w's,(or vast majority) and you couldn't sell them as they'd be useless to everyone aswell not to mention you can't buy them without the PSU's(at last check and for months anyway).

Another completely baffling idea from Antec, antec 900/1200, ditched the sidways mounted hdd's which kills a lot of space in the mobo area/around psu cables. then the p190 by all accounts weird psu setup and not available sans psu.
