So I want to treat myself...

24k with 60k miles on it. The original owner saw the thread on SM FB page and chipped in, he did a lot of touring in it while he owned it. Drove to southern Spain a couple of times and around France. Its a fair few miles but has FSH. 22mm spacers all round and H-pipe fitted, couple of small spots of bubbling around 2 wheel arches, seems to be a feature on them  This guy is second owner and has had it since August 2022, selling as his wife has lost her job, its on finance and they need to tighten their purse strings.
They must come with rust as an unoptional extra from the factory!

Finally got to test drive a Mustang today. Safe to say it was love. Just looking at it made me grin, hearing it start made me grin and driving it really made me grin. I thought this is the way it would go and glad I wasn't disappointed

"The advert you’re looking for is no longer available."

So............? You did it? :D

No that was just a test drive. Was really more than I wanted to spend at this point. Was a lovely car though.
Any progress?

I'm constantly going around in circles looking for my next convertible.. £20k - £30k - £35k - £50k and keeping reminding myself that it's sat on the drive most of the time so need to stop spending too much..

The Mustang keeps popping up and I've been keeping on eye on prices, the 2018 facelift are a bit too much, £37k-£39k really for a magneride equipped one.. I had discounted them due to poor rear seats, but have ditched that requirement.

The sweet spot price wise seems to be 2017-2018 shadow edition run out models, they have £180 a year tax (not that it matters, but everything helps!) and had all options (shame no magneride was available!) and reasonably cheaper than the facelifts.

If I could stomach the colour (never seen one) of 'Triple Yellow, there is a 35K Mile convertible on at the moment for mid £20k's that looks good value.. or the much nicer magnetic grey for £28k.. then it's a jump to get in to a facelift.. might go look at some on the weekend.

Yeah AA inspection happened today, only came back with what he had already told me, so that is good. Only Red issues are a couple of small areas of bubble rust on both front wings and the tracking needs doing.

Hopefully picking it up in the next week. Insurance in place, man I got my pants pulled down as I don't have any car no claims, I have infinite years on my commercial van insurance and motorbike insurance but that doesn't help. Haven't owned a car for years.

I found this on Simply Mustang FB group, private sale is always going to be cheaper than dealers. I know what you mean about facelift. I also really wanted Magnaride as its meant to be a huge improvement on the stock suspension.

I will be driving straight to Cheltenham once I collect it from North Wales as I promised my brother a go.

Thanks @Diddums. Have to admit I have that kid at Christmas feeling and can't wait to pick it up.

So chatting on Simply Mustang FB it seems the paint is still in warranty and so I will be contacting Ford customer services once I pick it up and get them to sort that out.

Lovely, magnetic grey is one of the classier/purposeful colours by far..

I've just asked to join SM on FB, good shout, I was watching Rory Reid who did a video on his own Triple Yellow Convertible that he's done a few mods on and he mentioned that group!

It would be hilarious if I had a Grey 5.0 v8 on one drive, with a grey Tesla Model Y on the other.. the climate activists would be struggling to know what to do!

If you pass any grey 73 plate Model Y's in/around Cheltenham, blip the throttle, some of us appreciate the noise!

There is a Simply Mustang UK For Sale group as well, so make sure to join that.

Shame it wasn't on the bonnet as there's defo something niggling in my brain that there was an issue with it bubbling Ford have a TSB to replace it.

So there is a 12 year paint warrently apparently so I will be getting on to ford to fix it. There is a bit on the bonet as well.

Well, where's the pics?

I'll get some over the weekend :D

First impressions though... its love. From the minute I arrived I started grinning just looking at her. Then I started it, the sound of that V8 with a nice exhaust, the grin got bigger. Then I drove off and put it in sport + mode and applied some right foot and the grin factor went off the chart :D :D What a car, I couldn't be happier.

You will defo love it. My first one was the shadow edition in grabber blue, manual trans, then moved onto the facelift in kona blue, with the 10 speed auto and did a lot of mods but main one was to slap a vortech supercharger on it. Just sharing some pics as you can never have too much Mustang love haha. :D
