8.452-080109a-057974E-ATI, is that telling me it's Catalyst drivers 8.452 basically? Or nothing to do with the Catalyst driver version? If not how can I see the driver version...

Ta.

does it not say "catalyst version" just beneath that? (under information centre>graphics software)

and i can only assume you're asking this because you've installed drivers from a cd? if you had downloaded the latest version online, then you'd know anyway? :p

No it doesn't... And I believe the latest Catalyst drivers are 8.4 hence my confusion? (Yes mine are from the CD that came with my 3850AGP)

why did you even bother with the cd? you should have just downloaded the latest version online. i know this doesn't answer your question but i don't really think there is any easy answer. maybe google it?

Oh joy! After downloading the latest drivers/CCC version... 'Unsupported hardware'... Just what I specifically did not want to happen :(

i believe there is a 8.4 hotfix for agp cards. try that. saying that i've never had any problems when i had an agp x1950pro. the problems seem to be very random. :p

That hotfix (I believe) is an install on the 8.4 drivers... Which when I try and download from AMD/ATI and install I cannot even install... How can I hot fix something I can't install :(

the hotfix is a complete package. you don't need the 8.4s installed.

That works a treat!!! Thanks!

Just a shame:-
a) The ATI overdrive doesn't work! While testing the new speeds are shown in 'current', but the moment it finishes it goes back to the default ones never to increase. If you go into rivatuner you can up it in there, and CCC ATI Overdrive shows the upped speed.
b) ATI Tool can't handle the card (0.26 hangs, 0.27b3 & b4 don't work properly)
