Literally - I have a case, monitor, keyboard, mouse and speakers - just needs the "guts"

I've never had a Sli/Crossfire setup and quite tempted by one, or is a single GPU better - I notice a lot have picked AMD, are they better then nVidia.

at the current time yes AMD are better than anything that Nvidia have on the market, well, until Kepler is officially unveiled.

for a crossfire setup for that money, you'd prolly be looking at CF6970's although bang per buck would be slightly better with CF6950's
