So Im looking at preventing a hangover before I go out....

So try this one

Pint of water before sleep

When you wake up drink water for like 1 hour

Nice clean body system ;)
 
food and Beethoven normally does it for me!

i find having a microwave pizza or burger before i goto bed, or at the height of being drunk normally helps avoiding a hangover the next day.

Just make sure you don't drink on an empty stomach, or you're going to get drunk quite quickly and also probably be sick and feel absolutely rotten the day after as i did last week. Also eat something eat something before you go to bed. All i can really add on top of that is water is your friend when you finally get home!

Just at the end of the night you have a fair amount of water you wont have a headache

Having some water in between every few pints will help though.

It also means that you feel more full, so you'll take your time with more beer.
 
My method for best experience from a /heavy/ night out is.
1) 20oz sirloin steak before you go out, all the trimmings, eat ALL of it you wuss!
2) ensure you're stocked up on OJ, Sausages, Eggs, Bacon and if you like 'em, baked beans
3) take a pint glass of water, put it on your bedside cabinet, just incase you come back /really/ steaming and forget to drink water before you go to sleep
4) Choose your drink, Spirits, Wine or Beer, mixing them is asking for trouble, though if you /must/ I find that the old "Wine before beer, makes you feel queer" rule is very true, so, beer first!
5) once you get back, drink glass of water next to bed, repeat until satiated, then ensure the glass is full and by your cabinet again before you get to bed
6) wake up, drink glass of water, stagger downstairs, fry up a full english and get yourself a pint of orange.

The ideal is drink a pint then a pint of water and carry on, you'll actually feel great some mornings doing that.

Main thing is to keep hydrated, vitamin C (eat a couple of oranges) will help too, it'll give you the energy for your liver to do the work just make sure you drink milk if you have the oranges too as it messes with the stomach lining after a few pints I find.

I generally go for a session, get home, line up 4-6 pints of cold water or squash and drink them in front of the telly. Very refreshing indeed and I don't feel like crap the next day. :D

Btw. Nothing can help you if you get past a certain point or you mix alcohol with drugs (painkillers are particularly bad for this)

Friend told me about this one, if you think you are getting a bit drunk go to the bar and ask for a coke.

then when your friends ask you what you are drinking, just say you are having Vodka and coke, they will probably think you are Gay after doing this depends how lenient your friends are ^_^.
