So it's official the Asus P8P67 range - Avoid?

I own a P8P67 DELUXE, not had a single issue yet.

Also you will see more negitive reviews on Asus boards, considering we sell 5 times as many Asus boards to gigabyte boards.

Thats good to know.

I've been trying to decide between the P8P67 Pro or go with the Gigabyte UD4. So many people say don't touch the Asus but there are also plenty of people who have not had any problems as well.

I would go with the Gigabyte UD4 my self, i bet asus are wondering what there going to do with all there returned asus boards i bet they got piles of them.

asus PRO here, had a few problems, but I think they were all symtoms of a single fault- My first PCIe slot died, had no issues since moving my card to the second slot. before anyone starts trying to blame asus for that, my friends giga P55 board has the exact same fault, so I would say the rumours about the asus p67s are nothing to worry about, however, as far as customer support goes, particularly regarding the B2/B3 swap, MSI seem to be beating asus by a country mile from most reports, with gigabyte somewhere in between them

i should imagine they'll do the same thing MSI & Gigabyte will do with there piles of returned boards.

Awesome board, no problems and overclocking was simples.

I was worried about what I had purchased but at the moment its all clockwork.

I got my problematic Asus refunded and got an MSI. The MSI just plain worked. What a blessed relief to have a motherboard that does what I paid for.

Asus do sell more boards than the others but from what I see, the Asus boards have the greatest number issues. I can't offer figures but it seems like Asus problems outweigh the sales ratio.

The P8p67 pro was not fully tested prior to being released for sale in my opinion. I for one am done with Asus.

Like I've been saying.

Go MSI.

How can you possibly know how many ASUS boards are sold?

It is the old situation again, people only comment when they have something negative to say. The iPhone 4, Windows Vista, PS3 etc all received bad public opinion because people who had bad experiences shouted loud, whilst the people who were content shut up and enjoyed their purchase.

I did not say I knew how many Asus boards were sold. Note I said "I can't offer figures". There was a poll on a thread here prior to Sandybridge release asking people which manufacturer of motherboard they intended to purchase. Asus was voted for by a large majority. What I intended to convey in the previous post was that it seems to me ,ratio acknowledged, that Asus have more problems than the other manufacturers.

To be honest the iPhone 4, Vista, and PS3 all received bad public opinion because they sucked.
