So this week I've mostly been modifying my 200:

It's been an eventful few days to say the least, including taking an angle grinder to the car and an emergency trip to Demon Tweeks (1 and half hours away) yesterday morning to pick up a piece of £5 hose to seal back together a pipe I had cut in half .

Problem I've got now is I can't get the ****ing headlights back on because the FMIC core is sitting too high. I am going to have grind off the top 2 mounts and move them in a few inches so the lamps will sit properly. Getting fed up of it now to be honest :p

Also discovered that the car was in an accident in 2004 resulting in new bumper + associated bracketry, new wing and crumpling a bit of the shell (which has been bashed back out). Nothing at all about that in the history file (sneaky), only know the date by reading it off a sticker on the bumper .

is that a clear coolant top (actually more like bottom?) hose? Cool :D

I'm a retard, it goes straight to the DV/recirc valve, forge!

Once it's done you'll love it, I have a stage 3a and it's cracking fun.
I hope so ;) I've had the car running pretty much standard engine wise for coming up to 3 years (been concentrating on handling mods before power mods :p). Had a bit of spare cash recently so figured I would start tuning.

Any pics of yours?

From looking at the routing of the FMIC pipework have you relocated the battery to the boot?
Yep, did this earlier in the year. Still need to finish it off really as the cabling in the boot is a bit messy..

Some suppliers put together a kit a few years ago but I don't think they sold well. When I did mine I just bought all my stuff from Vehicle Wiring Products and got a tray welded up to bolt into the boot. Was a fairly easy job really, as ever the most time consuming bit was taking the interior out to run the cable through :p

Thanks, an S14 is on my shortlist to replace my Golf next year so the clears up a couple of questions.

Are you going for big enough power to warrant a Z32 maf swap?

ive been doing the handling mods on mine, so shox, springs, adjustable arms, anti roll bars, droplinks, bushes and strut braces.
all fun fun fun.

i had to ditch my front fog lights for my front mount but my headlights were fine, also relocated my indicators to sidelights.

your whole recirc looks a lot neater then mine lol

also where you going to mount your boost controller?, ive got one to fit. got my boost gauge in my ash try (the obvious place to put a controller) so im hunting around looking for other places.

Nice i just got an ARC sidemount intercooler for my mr2 but i don't have the same time and skills as you do to start dropping bumpers etc. I got my blitz dsbc fitted my a garage:/

Looking good mate, are you on sxoc? I've got to buy a 'normal' size battery and relocate it to the boot, i'm forever having to jump start my car lately....

Just realised I didn't reply to this again..

I plan to mount the Gizzmo in the ashtray yea, although there is a crappy boost gauge there at the minute which I am about to get rid of and replace with this:

Not sure how I am going to actually fit the Gizzmo, might try out my fibreglassing skills :p

Future plans for car are Z32 brake setup at the rear (already got K-Sport 330mm at the front), re-bush subframe and fit softer suspension are next up, then take it to the next tuning stage, which is probably just fatter injectors, tubular manifold and a remap. Not looking to get a bigger turbo and MAF just yet..

And yep I am on SXOC :)

Amoeba, you don't work in Skem do you?
Nope, but I do work in St Helens down the road ;)
That first pic is awesome, it's totally in pieces :D

Mad props you have the willpower to do that
Haha that was actually getting toward the finished stage :p Here are some more photos:

In the process of doing the battery relocation:

And one from the current project -- refurbing and fitting a rear Z32 brake setup. It should be clear which caliper I have finished and which one is half way :p

I like this thread, do we have a "200SX Owners Official Thread" or however it may be named ?

Just for you, when I was doing similar work on my S12
