The gun games for move dont actually do 1:1 gun action? You just "move" a cursor around but you dont actually point and shoot with sights like previous gen light gun shooters?

maaaan, thats the sorriest, most backwards and disappointing thing to happen to gun games....ever

Speaking from experience of Wii shooters, I find it to be about the best way to play a console FPS. Metroid is sensational and games like Medal of Honor and The Conduit also control very, very well. It's more akin to mouse movement.

I think the OP is talking about games like House of the Dead rather than FPS games.

Correct

I just think that if the guns really do control like a Mouse, its just a huge step backwards from the satisfaction and realism you get from proper arcade style light gun games :(

Where is the current gen Point Blank?

This is like the dissapointment of trying Time Crisis on the ps1 for the first time only to find the g-con didn't have the recoil of the arcade variant. :(

But can't you already get a light gun for the ps3 the gcon 3 for time crisis 4?

time crisis for the ps3 was great fun but also proved why lightgun games are so much better in the arcade... because there short and have little to no replay value. its a pity that there want more games as the guncon 3 could really benefit from cheap DLC or even a pay per play system using the PSN

Only imagination limits game developers from coming up with more shooting games, they must be so easy to develop too, you could easily make them PSN/Live Arcade titles for ~£6

Aren't there a couple of lightgun models out there that work with LCD's and Plasma's? Though personally I never tried them yet.

The games are short, but the replay value depends on the player and what you want to do. There's the achieving high score and top rank willy waving, or just trying to memorise where each enemy pops out from and improve accuracy, so that you can look awesome at it, especially when you go back to the proper Arcade version in front of a crowd. And at least if your own home version lightguns are taken good care of, they won't be as manked up or broken uncalibrated as some Arcade machines are.

I still regularly play The House of the Dead 2 (Dreamcast), Ninja Assault and Time Crisis 2 and 3 (PS2) just to keep my reflexes and memory going. Time Crisis 3 was certainly a mission back in the day to try and do it in one credit, and this game felt long compared to the others, especially with the multiple boss character battles.

got Time Crises 4 today and i love it.Full out arcade fun. Easy to setup move controller.

Love the idea that they put on Time Crisis 3 and Pirates making it 3 games in 1.

I was hoping Boomerang would send it out to me, but they sent out The Fight instead, which I'd meant to remove from my list after the tepid reviews.
Ah well!

Haha, was going to message you saying someone else on overclockers wants a light gun game for the PS3; then realised it was you anyways! ;)
