If you have a PS3 or something like that the fast PC will be great for realtime encoding high def files to your TV. http://code.google.com/p/ps3mediaserver/downloads/list this server software will use all 8 cores in the I7 to seamlessly shunt high def vid down to your tele. Just a thought.
