So my bios is being weird with my m.2 ssd

Hi, I just built my pc and the mobo bios (msi b550 a pro) is being funny. When i look in the storage part of the bios it says nothing is present- yet when I go onto board explorer it says there IS an m.2 storage device and it is correct. this is also my first build so I’m not sure really how to install windows aswel, on vids Ive seen at the top right if ez mode people’s ssds come up but mine just says UFIA hard disk. my ssd is the wd blue 1tb m.2 2280

Try the other m2 slot.

Do you have a SATA drive plugged in or the setting for that slot is not PCIe. Sometimes the M.2 slots are shared with SATA so will not be recognised if a SATA is plugged and/or the M.2 does not run in SATA mode.

Mostly likely everything is fine, its just that you have built your PC but not installed Windows as you say you don't know how to do it. This video should get you up and running
