Hey there,
First of all, last night we tried to install some new RAM on a friends PC. It was the 6400C Corsair 2GB 800Mhz RAM, but, it turns out the motherboard could only handle up to 667 Mhz...
So we put the old RAM back in, and it started up, the motherboard still makes 1 short beeping sound.
However, now the screen is stuck on the Packard Bell loading screen (It's a packard bell PC, not custom) And we have no idea what this could be...

Has anyone had anything similar or might know a solution?
We can't even press keyboard buttons to go into recovery mode... It's just a purple packard bell screen...

USB Ethernet stuff shouldn't affect booting but you could tweak the boot order to remove USB just incase the USB device is confusing it.
Normally something like that would be driver related and i'd expect that to happen at the windows loading splash :/

have u tried putting the USB netowork stick back in? might of just been coincidence. Seeing as you've been playing with RAM Id say take it out, blow in the slots just to make sure no dust got in there and reseat the RAM.
