Running about with your phone out like a lunatic is exciting?

Enjoyment is what you make of it

People criticising others choice of how they spend their time when they sit posting on an Internet forum. You know what they say about stones and glass houses yeah?

Let them get out and have some fun, better than being sat in the house, it's combining gaming (in a loose sense) with a bit of exercise.

They wouldn't be doing it if they didn't find it enjoyable.

Are you enjoying your day as much as them?

They're just hopping on the bandwagon.

And yes my goat porn marathon is very enjoyable ;)

Calm down son. :)

Go out and play games.
Stop playing games and go in.

Which is it?

Thing is, it's actually getting people out that would otherwise spend all day doing absolutely nothing "productive" - yes, Pokemon isn't productive, but it gets them out and about as well as striking up conversations with complete strangers. Why is this a bad thing?

Idiots will still idiot.. i.e.
not being aware of surroundings, and doing it whilst driving. But that's a minority.

They're just hopping on the bandwagon.

How does that stop it being enjoyable?

Pokemon was very popular at the turn of the Millennium. I suppose that was just bandwagon at the time which didn't really bring people enjoyment.

People go to the cinema, play sports, watch sports, play video games etc. all usually in groups and following popularity trends.

Don't recall saying it didn't.

But if we follow these posts up to the original (I know people on OCUK love to interject in a converstaion and then like to claim they were talking about something else), but calling people mindless zombies is clearly an insult intended to suggest what they are doing is silly.

Good exercise though. I saw one person had walked 20km yesterday tracking down pokemons.

Plus I thought you then go to training arenas and fight with them????

If you call randomly mashing the screen 'fighting'. It's nothing like the turn based strategy combat in previous Pokemon games.

Don't see any difference to normal tbh, people still walking around aimlessly with their face in their phone like zombies.

It isn't though and that's why I started the thread if you read what I wrote.
I noticed a difference in peoples behaviour on Thursday & Friday and then it was explained to me.

And I'd just like to add before some poster misquotes me, that I have no problem with people enjoying themselves however they want (within the law obviously).

Over time I think it will develop into that.

Remember this was developed with a finite budget.

Now that it has taken off, I'm sure a lot more of it be developed.

Just look at what has happened to Nintendo's market capitalisation (and they only partially have equity in this game).
