first thing i know is that i want to get rid of my corsair 800d.

the only other thing im having trouble with is,what case to get ?

here are some thing's to consider...

1.i wont be going crossfire/sli.

2.i wont be going watercooling again.

3.in the future ill be upgrading from my socket 775.

so with those in mind ill be looking to swap/sell my 800d for a new case which has these quality's in mind.

1.i do like a big case (dont ask me why)

2.has to have very good air cooling.

3.quiet,although i do have a fan controller.

4.the look's,i used to hate quite a few case's on the market (haf-x) but have come round to thinking more on the cooling side as to the look's.

so what case would suit me ?

i have been looking at the...

haf-x

fractal design xl

Silverstone RV02 Raven 2

there was another silverstone case i was looking at but cant seem to remember the name (has a removable panel on the front/bottom of the case)

any idea's on some other case's would be helpful as well.

I'm the same, it's the Lian li x500b I think for me. Looks really elegant and got a nice finish. I was really after a thermaltake level 10 gt but been put off that now by listening to comments on here lol

RV02 would probably be my choice in your situation... Although saying that, here's a couple more ideas....

Depending on how big a size you want, the Lancool K62 does fulfil your requirements :)

Does have good Air cooling, although I like my rigs to be silent, and it doesn't quite manage that, so I spent £40 on aftermarket fans, or in your case you could use your fan controller.

I'd say, maybe, NZXT Phantom? The looks are very personal, so that not might be your kind of thing, but I'm pretty sure it met your requirements, and it gets some raving reviews. Also has a built in fan controller, and I'm pretty sure OCUK stock a noise dampening kit for it.

I think the problem with the Fractal XL is I'm not sure if the air cooling is any good :S Don't quote me on that, but from what I've read, that tends to be the general view....

ive got a haf-x on the way from the members market.

i had a very good think about what i needed and the haf-x always came 1st on the outstanding reviews it's got.

i know its not the best looking case but i think people (including me) need to think about more than just look's for a air cooled pc.
