So what did everyone go for?

A lot of rich people in this forum! I can't not afford/justify spending £300 on an OS (or well most things :( ).

32bit Home Premium
Wasnt going to get it originally, but on hearing some of the things it could do and spotting a complete driver set for my laptop on the Dell support site I couldn't resist.
Very good so far, a good choice I think. Shame my Office 2007 Beta expired today though. Thats something to buy next month I think...I miss Outlook

I doubt many people have spent £300! Ultimate OEM is £129.24.

Yes, the OEM version of Vista Premium is only £70.

Academic License Upgrade version of Premium cost me £88 with VAT and Postage.

Only thing I'm not sure about is whether I'm still licensed if I leave uni in 2 years time.

Bobbler why not use an Office 2007 demo? It runs until March 31st so you'll be able to use it until you've picked up a copy for yourself.
