So What Game did you just/last finish discussion!

Finished Red Dead Redemption when released, since Xmas have finished Batman which was awsome, Mass Effect 1 and currently about 12 hours into Mass Effect 2, will complete Dragons Age Origins next.

Dead Space 2 this weekend, really enjoyed it.

My stack of games in the 'to finish' pile is getting bigger though :(

Turning Point... Don't ask haha! It was rubbish :( On to Planet 51 now! :D

Last game I finished for fun rather than points was Black Ops a couple of weeks back. It was alright, I didn't enjoy the campaign as much as MoH as I found Veteran a case of trial and error more than anything. Some nice cinematic scenes in it though.

Finished Fallout: New Vegas, loved it. Prefered it a lot more to Fallout 3.

Nearly finished NFS: Hot Pursuit, kinda repetitive but it's addictive.

Uncharted 2.......its been sat on the shelf for a long time so I dusted it off and played it from start to end in a couple of days....really enjoyed it, im going to play it through again on hard mode I think.

Last boss did start to annoy me after a while but the game itself was brilliant, great graphics! couple of glitches where the guards get stuck in some kind of posing knee bend position with a stupid grin on there face but all in all a great game.

Also finished LBP2 a couple of weeks ago, good game but unfortunately I dont have time to sit and learn the whole creation side of the game (yes I know this is the part that makes the game what it is) so that's now sat on ebay

Finished Shadow Complex the other day. I'm achievement grinding, so I've immediately started it again on insane difficulty. It's very hard on that setting, but I'm levelling up fast. It's great fun, even on the third time through. Love it.

finished Batman: AA last week and am playing Uncharted 2 now.

Loved batman and was actually annoyed that it was over. I'll be keeping that one to play through again on a harder setting. I got all the riddles first time through so next time it'll be a much shorter play time. Really really looking forward to Batman: AC.

I loved Uncharted 1 and so obviously i had to play Uncharted 2. Coming directly from Batman though left me kind of annoyed with some of the gameplay elements.

Don't get me wrong, the game looks stunning, the story is great, and the voice acting is perfect (<3 Claudia Black).

But in Batman I always knew hat ledges i could hang from, I always knew what ledges would support me. I don't remember once dying in batman because i was't sure if a certain tactic or gameplay mechanic was going to work or not. It seemed to be constant and defined which I liked.

Uncharted 2 (and honestly I think most games) kind of makes a few bits up as it goes along. Sometimes you can hang from a ledge or jump off a building but sometimes you just fall to your death like a plonker. Sometimes you cant jump onto a rock that quite clearly you should be able to because that's not how they want you to get somewhere.

Another thing that is a little frustrating is the sometimes odd things you need to do to advance the story. EG you need to cross a body of water and you can't work out how you are supposed to get over. There is no ledge or handy lampost to leap from. Up comes the hint that you need to do what you need to do. No way would I have figured that out without the hint, how am I supposed to know what things are and aren't going to affect the environment like that? And why once i've killed 20 bad guys do more suddenly rock up? by the time the bad guy has sorted out payroll for this lot finding the stone is going to be just about breaking even.

Maybe its just me, but I like the clearly defined rules of the Batman: AA universe. I know that I can rip that vent off as its glowing orange. I know I can batclaw my way up onto that ledge etc etc.

It probably doesn't help that I'm crap at shooters on consoles. I possess an almost unique lack of thumb co-ordination to allow me to turn and aim accurately. Again with batmans lack of shooting that was never an issue.

I'm enjoying the game a lot, the story is engaging, the animation and acting is smooth, and it does of course look great. I just don't think I'm enjoying actually playing the thing as much as I did with Batman.

I think this would all have been less pronounced had I just finished another game.

Once I've finished Uncharted 2 I have to work my way through

  • Heavy Rain
  • Final Fantasy XIII
  • Assassins creed 1 & 2
  • Mass Effect 2 (PC)
  • GTA4 - though I've played this for 20 minutes and was not impressed with the control mechanic which is really preventing me from jumping on it whole hog
  • Homeworld (PC)

I wont be buying myself anything new (apart from possibly Cities in Motion - PC) until I have worked my way through these. My 26th birthday is in April though so i'll probably ask for others bits i want then so i don't need to buy anything at all!

The last proper game I have completed is Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. A great game with a really good story that had me hooked.

Wait, nevermind, I have also completed all of the races in WRC this past weekend. Putting that away for now, as I have no need and want to play it again.

I said that to myself, too.

Then I completed it 3 times, once on each setting, getting every last secret each time.

Completed Gears of War on Hardcore

Not sure if Hardcore is Normal or Hard seeing as Insane only unlocks once you've completed it but I thought it was bloody hard, Raam at the end was giving me the right hump!

Great game, played it on my first 360, got it again when it was released on the PC but it's only now that I've gone and got my second 360 that I've got beyond Act 1 :o

9/10

Got to decide whether I go for Gears 2 next or start on Halo 3 (also got ODST and Reach waiting for me)

I think if there was a trophy for that, or some way of recording that you had done it then i might since they are all easy once you get the secret maps. But since there isn't it would just be a waste of time to me.

I'll probably still get the ones that i just come across though lol.

Mass Effect 2 - excellent game, playing it through again on my PC as its just a great game... Love the toned down RPG and all the added third person shooting action.

I would have completed Killzone 2 last week as well. I've never completed it, playing it through for the story before Killzone 3 but PS3 laser died and now I've lost the save... Why, as they locked the save to the console and I can't back this up and console been replaced by Sony.. I'm 'very' annoyed, as I lost my Mass Effect 2 saves and a few others that were protected..

why, why do that? Lock it to the PSN account, sure.. But not the console..
