And we wonder why everyone is getting fat :(

I don't think anyone is still wondering why we are all getting fat. :p

I don't really like any of them unless I'm somewhere really hot and they are really cold. But that could be said about any drink really...

or not, nothing has been proven. No more than scaremongering.

Studies of aspartame in the peer reviewed medical literature were surveyed for funding source and study outcome. Of the 166 studies felt to have relevance for questions of human safety, 74 had Nutrasweet® industry related funding and 92 were independently funded. One hundred percent of the industry funded research attested to aspartame's safety, whereas 92% of the independently funded research identified a problem. A bibliography supplied by the Nutrasweet® Company included many studies of questionable validity and relevance, with multiple instances of the same study being cited up to 6 times. Questions are raised both about aspartame's safety and the broader issue of the appropriateness of industry sponsorship of medical research.

Have a bigger read around. That's a very one sided article.

Yes the one side is making lots of money out of it, and the other isn't. I know which i Trust more.

As if there's no money to be made out of attacking the biggest sugar substitute. The other thing is, most of the reports that say it damages health have tested qauntities far in excess of what you would usually consume. Like anything including water. Too much of one thing is bad.

Those articles are actually code for "Red Alert: False Flag Imminent".

I was at a seminar given by some suit from Pepsi and he told us all about the different marketing campaings for the diet versus the newer version ie. pepsi max. The diet version had become associated solely with women which is why Max was launched. I assume this is the same for Coke diet v zero.

By the way, what happened to Tab? Great cans.

Also, has anyone tried the Tesco versions and do they taste more like Coke or Pepsi?

I love these sort of threads.

"I like coke, but ZOMG DIET COKE EUGHHHHGH! OMG NO! Just, omg, no! Tastes like I vommed in a bag, placed the bag on a radiator for a week with the radiator on full, put my head in the bag and breathed in for 4 minutes".

Can't drink anything with aspartame in it. It tastes bitter, and leaves the most terrible aftertaste for me. Same with ribena light, it's got to be proper ribena without the sweetener.

Diet coke and coke zero taster different but both rank. To copare to pepsi you have Coke = Pepsi, Diet Coke = Diet Pepsi, Coke Zero=Pepsi Max
