So...when are you off to University?

I'm going back up to Sheffield on the 17th - a week off, freshers week, and then my second year of University starts. Can't wait! :)
 
Going back next week. Alone in the new house. using the week to job hunt though...

week or 2weeks til the rest get back.

I'm off to exeter again on the 21st, moving into a house this year, wooo!! I cant wait!!!111!1

I'm lucky im moving in with 5 people im good mates with and 1 being my girlfriend which is the best bit! :)

Don't want to shatter your dream, but two of my best friends did this. A house of 6, my mate and his girlfriend (said mates) they were solid as a rock and got on great. We all moved in... they split up. I had to move room so she could be further away from him and on another floor.

End of the year, we all move out, they get back together. So not alllllll bad, but it was the most uncomfortable situation ever.
 
I'm in gap year and applying this year to go next september, having to start thinking about ucas and stuff now :( - one advantage is I have my grades

question: which would you say is better? - hometown uni, or moving?
 
Im heading on the 16th as well. moving in with 2 of my mates from college (one of their houses) and its going to be freaking awesome! i really cant wait!
 
Im going to Kent on the 15th probably, get to live with some 4 randoms, so will be bringing 6 bottles of something with me, 1 for each person, two for me \o/ + whatever my parents buy me before I set off.

The difficult thing is convincing them I am moving to Canterbury not the bloody moon, they made less of a fuss when I moved to Vienna last year.

Although, I'm actually quite looking forward to cracking on with my dissertation! :p
 
Heading down to the wonderful land of Cambridge on 29th September. Term starts some time during the following week I believe.:)

Do you really need people to tell you what to take? Big part of uni is standing on your own two feet, not a good start if you can't even work out what to take. The website listed in OP is seriously over the top aswell.

Personally I would go early, to try and stake out the best room if you have that sort of problem, I think mine is already assigned in my house, I am guessing 7A means house 7 room A unless I am mistaken. But room claimage is on reason to get there early.

Well unless your in halls, then it wouldnt work that well at all, still its an extra night of being drunk.

The wife starts a week before me at Stirling Uni and is studying nursing though :cool:

I registered for this year by post, don't want to have to trudge around Firth Hall Goodwin Sports Hall with thousands of people again!
