OK, so it is only my second build, but I was doing so well until I discovered that the back plate needed to be fitted before the entire install was done - cables all carefully tucked away, screws all tightened and even the side panels fitted before I realized that the back plate needed to be fitted from the inside, not the outside.....

As a result, the cables are all over the place again and will remain so until tomorrow - what a pilchard I am...!

at least you put the plate on the right way up, i didn't and rma it, then they sent out a total new set of bits which also didn't work, ram was is wrong slots this time, OC didn't work, also my fault it seems, again fixed plate wrong way up, once turned the right way, memory in the right slots, new fan fitted into the Zero Infinity Phantom Knight CPU Cooler as the default one sounded like a helicopter in case and it didn't boot, well it did but got no display :(

many phone calls later and emails sent, 50 posts on here, hair loss and gf back to living with her mum for a few days, i got it sorted.

only took 3 weeks, 4 hours on phone, 50 support messages, 2 rma's and all because the lady loved harbio's :)

this is why we use OC, for it's support, nobody else would or could have sorted it, most would have given up and gave me my money back, which was offered, but because of the support, the kind words, the helping hand, the tecky on the end of the support call saying you have done all i would have done etc, it borked, send it back again.

after more than 20 years of building, what could have gone wrong, did, but moral is, they fixed it, buy from Dell and try and get any support, not the hours they here at OC put in with me, i'm as qualified if not more being a mcse than maybe the user at the end of the call, but it was someone to talk to, to bounce idea's off, gave me new trains of thought and took me right back to basic, as i always think it's something harder than some time it is, but they deal with those every types of people who may have only built one or 2 things in there lives, so have nothing but praise here for staff :)

well done and thanks.

was Christmas period as well, snow and lots of it and poor del from over worked van drivers, bu got sorted in the end.

so it happens to us all
