Well I can understand if someone says 'a waste of my time'..if they've realised they stopped doing things to play the game and 'see the light' about the game and realise it was a mistake - basically an addiction.
If I was addicted to something and stopped everything else in my life then I'd most probably regret it .
The difference with watching a film or seeing a football match is after the hour or so you are then 'free' of it to do something else til next time - a reprieve as such.
Of course everyone that plays this game doesn't have to be addicted but I can see why someone would say it.
